Twitter allows to download your twitter archive

Today is the awesome moment for all the twitter users, yes! you can now download all of your twitter archive from your twitter account including re-tweets going back to the beginning. Twitter confirmed on 19th Dec, 2012 that is has rolled the features to download all of your tweets. This features has been rolled out to everyone who uses twitter account.

“It’s no secret. You make twitter what it is. And if you tweet, you may have found yourself wanting to go back in time and explore your past Tweets. Maybe you wanted to recall your reaction to the 2008 election, reminisce on what you said to your partner on your 10th anniversary, or just see your first few Tweets. We know lots of you would like to explore your Twitter past.” according to the blog
After downloading the archive, you can view your Tweets by month, words, phrases, hash-tags or @usernames. You can even use your old Tweets as a new ones.

How to activate this feature?
Simply go to settings of your account (After Login) and scroll down to see the option “Request your archive”, now you can click the option for your twitter archive. You can request a file containing your information, starting with your first Tweet. A link will be emailed to you when the file is ready to be downloaded.

You may not see the archive request button in Settings today, because Twitter is rolling out this feature slowly, with a few users whose language is set to English. It takes time to make it available to all the users for all languages, you have to wait for weeks or even months.
